Engaging Campus Partners in the Career Development Process: Developing a Career Advising Certificate Training Program
Webinar | July 23, 2019 | 3:00 p.m. - 4:15 EST | $349
Learn how to expand the reach of your career services, increase referrals and ensure consistent career development messaging across campus.
Why It Matters
Nationally, nearly 4 in 10 graduates never visited their school’s career services office or used online career resources (Gallup, 2016). Yet, research indicates having professional goals increases student success and retention. Expanding the reach of career services on campus is crucial to helping students develop these goals, complete their degrees and prepare for professional success after graduation.
Who Should Attend?
This program is ideal for college career services professionals interested in expanding the reach of their career services and ensuring consistent messaging across campus about the career development process
Before ever setting foot in the campus career center, many college students have already asked their academic advisors, professors and other campus professionals advice about choosing a career. This NACE Member's Choice Award-winning program is a game-changer in meeting students where they are.
Ensure students' initial encounters with the career development process are positive and helpful by developing a program to partner with campus professionals and faculty. Join our expert instructor to learn about the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s counseling certificate training program while gaining the tools to:
Provide campus staff and faculty with the skills and confidence to engage in career advising conversations with students
Encourage staff and faculty to make stronger, better-informed referrals to campus career resources
Ensure students receive consistent messaging about the importance of career development throughout their college career
