An inspiring speaker and Colorado educator, Dr. Gascoigne will kick off our 2017 Rocky Mountain Peer Leadership Conference with an address that discusses the importance of leadership and the role of failing in achieving success. 

 

About the Speaker

Jan L. Gascoigne, PhD, MCHES, Assistant Vice Chancellor of Student Services for CU Anschutz, Clinical Associate Professor in Community and Behavioral Health

Jan oversees a variety of student services initiatives for the University of Colorado's Anschutz campus. She is also an assistant professor in the Colorado School of Public Health. Previously, she served as associate dean for student affairs for the Colorado School of Public Health on the CU Anschutz campus. Jan's background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Coaching, a Master's Degree in Health Education and a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Health Education. A strong advocate for peer leadership, she spent 11 years as the Director of Health Promotion, BACCHUS, which supports college peer educators and program coordinators. She has over 17 years of experience working with colleges, universities, local, regional and federal agencies on health and safety issues.
