About The Event

We invite Rocky Mountain Region college students, staff and faculty involved in peer leadership programs to a day of learning, teaching and sharing.

Peer leadership programs include peer mentors, advisors, educators, tutors, cultural ambassadors, and other similar programs. It's time we all get together to share what we know, learn from each other, and celebrate the great work we all do!

This 1-day event  will include presentations from community leaders, team-building, poster sessions, and interactive leadership workshops and a final debrief session to turn the day's learning into action when you return to campus. Come mingle with mentors, staff and faculty to learn from each other, network and share great ideas

Proposals

Proposals are currently being accepted!

Mentors, faculty, and staff are invited to propose a workshop session or a poster presentation to conduct at this year's conference.  The deadline for proposals is February15th, 2015.

Topics may include diversity, leadership, communication skills, organizing groups, managing challenging situations, promoting your program's successes, marketing your skills, or other important peer leadership topics.

The workshops are 60-minutes long.  The goal is to help those who attend your workshop to learn and share about the topic in an interactive way.

We encourage every program to sign up to present a poster and share their successes.

The Peer Advocate Leader (PAL) program promotes leadership for all students involved by matching undergraduate student leaders with first year students. The mentoring relationship is designed to foster student engagement and academic success by providing peer-level support that fosters student achievement, growth, and learning throughout students’ academic career at the University of Colorado Denver.
