Lisa Wexler, Director, The Peer Leader Center

Lisa oversees the development and implementation of national in-person and online training events for students and professionals involved in peer leadership programs.  Before founding the The Peer Leader Center, she worked at Academic Impressions, developing national training events for college student affairs professionals. Previously, she was a faculty member at the University of Denver's English Language Center, teaching English and culture to immigrant students and coordinating a cultural mentor program that paired native and non-native English speakers together to practice English and share culture. She also currently teaches English as a Second Language to immigrant students at the Aurora Language Center.

Lisa has been developing and/or facilitating professional development training since 2005.  She completed her graduate work in English at the University of Colorado - Boulder and in education at the University of Northern Colorado.  She studied English as an undergraduate at The Colorado College and the University of Colorado - Boulder. During this time, she was a peer leader--resident adviser, peer academic adviser, co-president of student cultural organization. As an experienced educator and trainer, Lisa focuses on developing students' knowledge and skills through highly interactive and engaging learning experiences. You can contact Lisa Wexler at
