FCD Course Welcome

Thank you fore registering for the Facilitating Career Development (FCD) course taught by Certified FCD Instructor Dr. Lakeisha Mathews and produced by Eduology. Below is information about the course and contact information in case you have any questions. We’re so glad you’ll be joining us for this amazing course!

  • Expected Work Load: The course requires approximately 8 hours a week to complete readings, assignments, videos, a capstone project and to attend 4 half-day Zoom sessions with the instructor.

  • Course Communications: You will be receiving an email in mid-May with information about the course, course access, course manual access and virtual meeting dates.

  • Access to Canvas: We will be using Canvas as our Learning Management System. In Canvas you will find course modules, submit assignments and interact in the discussion boards.

  • Course eManual: You course manual was included with your registration fee and will be ordered from the National Career Development Association headquarters. You will be able to view modules online or print them for your convenience with the eManual.

  • Course Hours: This course requires 120 hours for successful completion. This includes attending virtual sessions, completing all assignments, and completing a capstone project. Successful completion will allow you to apply for certification with NCDA for the CCSP or CCE for the GCDF. You will also be eligible for a free NCDA membership and a complimentary registration fee to take the CCSP after successful completion of the course. An overview of credentialing will be provided at the conclusion of the course. In addition, 1:1 sessions with Dr. Mathews will be available by request to discuss credentialing. The course is primarily asynchronous will several virtual sessions.

  • Assignments: This course is intended to build competency in facilitating career development. Please plan to set aside time weekly to complete modules and course pre-work and homework assignments.

  • Virtual Meeting Dates: You will receive an email by May 20th to schedule virtual meeting dates/times.

  • Refund Deadline: Please email lisa@eduology.org if you would like to cancel your registration.

    • Eduology Limited will issue a full refund minus the 3% transaction fee if a registered attendee sends a cancellation request by email to lisa@eduology.org 7 days prior to an event. Cancellation for full refund accepted until 5:00 p.m. EST May 27th, 2024. Simply email your cancellation request to info@eduology.org.

    • Eduology cannot provide refunds for requests placed after 5:00 p.m. EST May 27th, 2024 due to event costs.

    • If we have less than 2 attendees registered by the week before an event, Eduology Limited reserves the right to cancel the event and will issue a full refund to registered attendees.
