Overview

The virtual college career fair mirrors the traditional fair but requires a unique set of strategies to make it equally--if not more--successful than your traditional career fair. These strategies impact the way you work with employers and students before the fair even begins. This webinar will take you through the details of planning a successful virtual career fair utilizing these strategies.

The facilitator hosted her institution's first career fair in 2019 before the current health crisis moved college career services programming online. She had already strategically planned the first event and developed effective practices that made moving her university's spring career fairs online successful. Utilizing the strategies she had honed in 2019, she built events with higher participation than previous traditional on-campus fairs. The facilitator of this interactive webinar will interweave interactive chat activities, brainstorming while discussing:

  • An outline for developing a virtual career fair on your campus with key strategies

  • Considerations for training students and employers

  • A campus case study and success data

  • Lessons learned
