Develop or redesign academic success coaching based in theory and research that better supports coaching and students while improving your campus image and visibility.
WHY THIS TOPIC MATTERS
Campuses across the country are utilizing and growing their academic and student success coaching programs. Yet, too often, programs lack grounding in the theory and research that could take an ordinary program from good to great.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This program is ideal for college professionals overseeing or involved in success coaching, including:
Vice Presidents, Deans and Provosts
Directors of Academic Advising
Academic Advisors
Directors of Student Success Coaching Programs-Professional and Peer-to-Peer
Academic and Student Success Coaches
OVERVIEW
Whether you are beginning a success coaching program or looking to improve an existing one, this webinar will help you analyze your students’ needs, determine which theory will best support their needs and implement an effective program based on the approach you choose.
By exploring how Texas State University revised their coaching program into one grounded in theory, you will discover how to develop a bridge between the theory and practice through well-designed student learning outcomes and assessment of those outcomes. You will also explore how theory drives effective training for success coaches. Finally, you will learn how a theory-based program helps you grow your coaching program by better communicating the coaching program’s goals and successes to colleagues across campus.
