Earn your Facilitating Career Development (FCD) certificate of completion through the National Career Development Association (NCDA) This competency-based program will help you support others in the process of planning careers and obtaining meaningful work.

Overview
Nationally recognized, this substantive program provides professionals with in-depth skills and knowledge to support others in the career development process.
The 120-hour course is in an online, hybrid format that takes approximately four months to complete. You will have the opportunity to participate in 4 virtual meetings with the instructor. The meeting days/times will be determined by participant poll prior to the start of the course. The majority of the course is independent and self-paced, consisting of readings and a variety of online activities to help you develop new skills and build knowledge.
After successfully completing the certificate, you are eligible to apply for an industry-recognized credential including the Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP) or Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF).
Course Content
The program focuses on 12 career development competencies: helping skills, labor market information, assessment, diverse populations, ethical and legal issues, technology, career development model, employability skills, training clients, program management and public relations.

Course Registration Information
The course cost of $1500 includes:
NCDA FCD Student Manual, Revised 4th Edition, this includes the NCDA CCSP Credential Application.
Online access to the course materials.
Eligibility for a FREE 1-year membership to the National Career Development Association (NCDA) if new to NCDA.
Upon successful completion of the Facilitating Career Development program, you will receive a certificate of completion.
You will also have the option to apply for two different credentials after completing the course: the Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP) credential through the National Career Development Association (NCDA), a division of the American Counseling Association (ACA); and the Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) credential through the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE), a subsidiary of the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC).
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Please submit payment by 7 days prior to the event to secure your place in an event. Email info@eduology.org if you have questions or need to make special arrangements for payments, and we will do our best to accommodate.
Eduology Limited will issue a full refund minus the 3% transaction fee if a registered attendee sends a cancellation request by email to lisa@eduology.org 7 days prior to an event. Cancellation for full refund accepted until 5:00 p.m. EST January 17th, 2025. Simply email your cancellation request to info@eduology.org.
Eduology cannot provide refunds for requests placed after 5:00 p.m. EST January 17th, 2025.
If we have less than 3 attendees registered by the week before an event, Eduology Limited reserves the right to cancel the event and will issue a full refund to registered attendees.
Instructor
Lakeisha Mathews, Ed.D., CEO, Right Resumes & Career Coaching; Director, Career & Internship Center, University of Baltimore
Lakeisha is the past president of the National Career Development Association. She provides career coaching as the founder of Right Resumes & Career Coaching. In her director role, Lakeisha leads the University of Baltimore career center staff in building bridges between employment and education.
She is a certified professional career coach, certified professional resume writer, and certified global career development facilitator. As an educator with 10+ years of experience in higher education, Lakeisha’s experience includes residence life, new student orientation, academic advising and career services. Lakeisha likes to say that she has helped students gain admission into college, remain in college and exit college—with a job!
A Baltimore native, Lakeisha currently serves as co-advisor to the National Society of Leadership & Success (NSLS), the largest student group on campus. She also serves on the NSLS National Advisor Advisory Board and the Maryland Career Consortium Directors Board. Lakeisha is a past president of the Maryland Career Development Association and has attained numerous awards and recognition from both national and local organizations. Lakeisha holds a B.A in Communication from the University of Maryland, College Park and a M.S. in Human Resources from Towson University. She is currently pursuing a Ed.D in Higher Education Innovation from Wilmington University. In 2016, Lakeisha co-authored a book for the Association of Training and Development called Find Your Fit.
