Overview
This introductory webinar will demonstrate how AI can help students navigate institution-specific information, support staff on-boarding and scenario-based training, and transform existing materials into presentations, infographics, study guides, audio discussions, and videos. Participants will also examine responsible-use considerations and briefly explore applications for graduate and doctoral study.
Throughout the session, the emphasis will be on using AI to make trusted information easier to find, understand, teach, and apply—not to replace professional judgment or the human relationships at the center of student success.
By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:
Explain the basic capabilities and limitations of generative and source-grounded AI.
Identify practical AI applications for advising, coaching, tutoring, student support, and staff development.
Use NotebookLM to create infographics, presentations, videos, study materials, and other learning resources from selected sources.
Apply basic principles to protect privacy and verify accuracy.
Assess when to apply AI and when human relationships are central to student success.
